The Kindle Book Club
Posted in Web on September 13th, 2009 by abAlthough I am technology obsessed, I do have other interests. The largest of which, if you couldn’t tell from my previous posts, is reading. I spend more time reading on my kindle than on the web (try to believe me) or anywhere else. I’m a bit of an addict. As I’ve posted before, I really can’t find many kindle book clubs out there.
As I normally do on a Sunday, I decided to solve my own problem. I’ve created a book club for kindle readers using a platform called Ning. You can get to it at http://kindlebookclub.ning.com. The site is just getting going, but it should be a place where you can:
1. Share books you think are worthy of being the kindle book of the month
2. Delight your fellow readers with your wit and charm while discussing the current book, or any other that you’ve found interesting.
3. Participate in live events, such as book discussions and debates in real-time using a chat client built right into the site.
4. Buy books directly from the site when the links are posted (via Amazon).
Sound like fun? If you have a kindle reader and want to join, just head over to http://kindlebookclub.ning.com and participate. If you don’t have a kindle, you can always just join for fun and the lovely literary banter. Either way, your life is getting sunnier no?
See you guys there.
